Welcome to the neighborly country towns of Lark Rise and Candleford.  Life is simple but hard, the people are honest and fair, everything comes and goes with the seasons.  Time seems to come to a stop and change seems to come to a standstill, but as time pass the children will grow and the world from beyond their boarders starts to invade their lives... can both Lark Rise and Candleford survive the seasons of changes to come?

In Season 3 of Lark Rise to Candleford, there are old and new characters. Daniel Parish, a young journalist comes to Candleford to tell Emma of an inheritance.  Laura becomes fascinated with the towns newest citizen, but when an old flame returns someone will be left heartbroken.  As both Lark Rise and Candleford struggle to keep its quaint ways and quiet traditions, but when the word of modernization and of a future railroad comes it threatens to destroy their town's beloved post office.

This is a heartwarming series about two small but separate towns in the British countryside, Lark Rise populated by poor farmers and craftsmen, and in Candleford lives the more gentry and well educated citizens.  There is an unsaid divide among the social classes that one should not mingle with the other, but their lives and livelihoods between are connected by not only the road, but also family, business, neighbors, through love or lost, there is not one thing does not affect the other.  Sooner or later there is no news, letter, or gossip that does not pass through the post office or post mistress, which seem to be both the heartbeat and conscience of the town...  Extras include the life of Flora Thompson in her birthplace, the inspiration for Lark Rise to Candleford.
