Blue Murder – The Complete Series (2003 – 2009/Acorn DVD Box Set)

Another police procedural recently wrapped up in Blue Murder, a Canadian show that I tried to like, but could not get into.  The homicide cases of DCI Janine Lewis (Caroline Quentin) are not badly written, but do not rise above a cycle of the genre that has become very disappointing.  We previously reviewed all four seasons and half-way through, just to show that the series deserved other opinions, the latter half of the show was covered by two other writers just to show I was not the only one who saw the limits:

We pretty much agreed on the playback quality of sound and image, as well as what we thought of the shows, but what it offered was apparently enough to make it a hit… a hit that quit while it was ahead.  You can see for yourself, but unless you are a fan, you might want to start with the first set.
