Stonehenge Apocalypse (Anchor Bay DVD)

Picture: B-     Sound: B-     Extras: C     Feature: B-

Stonehenge, when an ancient machine is discovered underneath it, its legends, it’s secrets becomes of apocalyptic proportions, ancient ruins, temples are actually sites for the beginning of the apocalypse of Earth.  Now, the only hope of stopping these worldwide catastrophes lies in a discredited scientist who claims Stonehenge, the Pyramids were build by a superior intelligence and somehow linked by electromagnetic energies of the planet.  It's a race to save the world, and the countdown has started!

It's the end of the world and the fate of the world is in the hands of military scientist (god help us).  Jacob is a fallen scientist who works as a radio host, but when his theory that ancient the ruins are build by another race is found to be true, it is up to him to find the key to save the planet.  With military thinking he's a cracked pot, temples exploding all over the world and Jacob faces off with a former friend who believes that this apocalypse is part of an ancient prophecy and will do anything to see it fulfilled, Jacob must fight these fanatics before the final countdown hits zero for the Earth.

If you like end-of-the-world movies and conspiracy theories then look no further as Stonehenge Apocalypse takes Stonehenge and links them to ancient pyramids all over the world, that life was created by a superior race who built the ancient monoliths.  The movie had interesting special effects and CGI, BUT it could have developed and explained a better storyline to who 'built' these ancient structures.  This features an all star cast from various sci-fi TV  series from series such as Supernatural, Stargate: Atlantis, and Highlander, but they can only make up for the flaws so much.  Extras include behind the scenes and trailers.
