Jessica Drew, aka Spider-Woman is
tired and frustrated of being used and abused by the various super-communities
and secret organizations. Only after
recently after fending off the Skrull invasion, Jessica is recruited by
S.W.O.R.D to find any remaining Skrulls left behind who is still infiltrating
and planning the next invasion on Earth. Her mission is to find them and to
'take care' of them in Spider-Woman:
Agent Of S.W.O.R.D.!
Spider-Woman (no relations to Spider-Man) has worked with HYDRA, S.H.I.E.L.D.,
S.W.O.R.D., and The Avengers. Always
working in secret missions to infiltrate various organization Jessica is tired
of the various paranoia and espionage that exists between the superpowers. Specially after being physically replaced in
the most recent Skull invasion, an alien race with the power to shapeshift and
copy power of various superheroes, she is about ready to kill someone. Whom
better than to direct her anger and vengeance at than the remaining hidden
Skrulls on Earth?
The mantle of Spider-Woman has been worn by many, but unlike Spider-Man, she
has worked in the shadows and never in the limelight, or independently but with
some secret organization. Her origins
are a mystery, her powers include not only super strength, but also flinging of
energy, flying, and use of pheromones.
Her characterization is like a mix of femme fatale, superpowered secret
agent, with a tortured soul, often making references Marvel characters
Nick Fury or Wolverine. In reality her
character was created by Marvel in order to prevent other publishing houses
from copyrighting the name. Extras
