For
Summer 2011, Nickelodeon has finally issued some DVD sets instead of their
usual DVD singles, though the following are just collections of three
previously released singles each…
Big Box Of Playdates 2 is a compilation of titles that
are… compilations! This includes Sisters & Brothers which we already
covered at this link:
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/10731/Care+Bears+%E2%80%93+To+The
Summer Vacation and We Love Our Friends are the other compilation singles and the set
is fine if you child likes every single series featured. Otherwise, I would skip this one. Team
Umizoomi Music Videos show up on Summer
and Friends.
Dora’s Big Party Pack includes Dora’s Big Birthday Party as reviewed here:
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/10162/Dora+The+Explorer+%E2%80%93+D
It’s A Party and Super Silly Fiesta (with its hilarious cover) offer four more
episodes each and this makes for a good box for fans of the show. Both also have games, Party adds Baby Nick Jr.
Music Video and Nicktrition Tips For Parents, while Fiesta has Nick Jr. Baby
Video Sneak Peak.
i <3 iCarly Collection we have covered too often
including here:
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/10284/Go+Diego+Go!+%E2%80%93+Diego
The less
said the better and all but iSpace Out
(reviewed at the link) have Behind The
Scenes extras and iFight Shelby Marx
adds the pilot for the awful Big Time
Rush. iSaved Your Life is the third single.
Finally
we have Yo Gabba Gabba – Party In A Box,
including The Dancey Dance Bunch we
covered at this link:
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/8424/Yo+Gabba+Gabba+%E2%80%93+The
Birthday Boogie! and Clubhouse are the other singles with four episodes each and no
extras. This is the best set here, only
matched by Dora (the compilations
are almost as good) and the 1.33 X 1 picture and Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo on
all four box sets are consistent with the singles we previously reviewed. Now you can choose which set(s) are best for
you.
