Get ready
for the final season (Season Five)
of Pie in the Sky with DI Henry
Crabbe, a semi-retired detective. He would
rather be cooking at his beloved Pie in the Sky restaurant than solving some
case, but on more than one occasion, Assistant Chief Fisher dumps his toughest
cases and PR disasters on Crabbe. Between
righting all the wrongs, catching the crooks Henry cooks a delicious dish and
saves his personal life from domestic problems with his wife and employees, Henry
Crabbe might be over the hill, but his detective and cooking skills is still
first rate.
He works
along with the local (and incompetent) police force who claims they need his help
because of budget cuts and lack of man power. Crabbe, along with two assistant DI are more
often call into cases no one wants, but Crabbe more often sees there is more
than meets they eye and someone is seriously breaking the law and is able to
turns it into front page material for the media.
The British
must love detective dramas as this is another detective series that enjoyable
to watch. While this detective doesn't
use guns or kick down doors as he is a more down to earth, he is a character
who can relate more 'common' place people with his cooking and desire to live a
'normal' life. The character is like
next door neighbor grandpa who looks like Santa Claus instead of the hard
boiled detective.
