Tim is
stuck as a bottom feeder in the Big Apple, everyday he slaves away at work with
his best friend Stu under his overpaid boss. As he tries to get back together with his
girlfriend Amy, he tries not to get involved with others as much as he can. For Tim, anything he does seem to make things
from bad to worst, good deeds seem to have a way of back firing against him. Will Tim ever man up and take responsibility
or will he always be someone's doormat?
The Life & Times Of Tim continues in its Complete Second Season as watchable,
but not very memorable. Hopefully,
nothing that follows will be a spoiler. After
being kicked out by his girlfriend, Tim is basically homeless. He tries to grow a beard to look more manly
but ends up looking more like bum. His
Boss constantly use, abuse and threatens to fire him. He is constantly looked down by his female
co-worker and stepped on. And his friends
are emotional train wrecks, including his best friend Stu who is a closet
pervert with the habit of eating anything from the garbage. As Tim tries to fix his social and work life
you get to see how in Tim's life things can always get worst.
This
series was like a mix of grown up version South Park
and more adult humor. It relates to
major stereotypes of the under-paid worker living with his girlfriend (who
makes more than him) and an abusive boss. Along with his friends, their advice constantly
lands them in more trouble making fun of various American cultures, job
occupation and just out right male crass. As for the picture style, it reminded me of South Park for the lack of motion and
just moving a frame to cleverly express emotion or sudden change.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image has very simple animation, while the
lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is underwhelming.
Extras include Making of the The
