Join Ron
White and his fellow comedians as they journey and perform for America's
troops in Ron White’s Salute To The Troops.
Along with Lewis Black, Kathleen
Madigan, Vic Henley, Tim Wilson, Robert Hawkins, and Alex Reymunde, they
entertain the wounded troops. Joined by
guest musicians Rascal Flatts, John Oats, and Margo Rey get ready for a night
of laughter and music.
This is a
troop of Southern comedians and musicians who are performing to help raise
money for the wound vets of America.
They make jokes about anything to
everything, including sex, incest, gay and racial southern cultures... it's all
for a good cause (and laughter). Along
with a few songs they remind the troops what they are fighting for, freedom and
the expression of life.
While I
enjoy comedy, I sometimes have to wonder how do comedians make fun of minority
groups and people laugh and love them for it. They pick the most taboo of topics, gross
humor, blow it up and make it into a joke. While it is all for good for a laugh, I found
the jokes no different than the daily office jokes that you might find at work.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is an HD shoot that can look good and
have good color, but detail is an issue more often than usual, but the Dolby
sound is just fine. Extras include bonus
materials with the comedians that is not bad, but not too extensive.
