For hundreds of years, Vikings have fought dragons, but now the islanders of Berk are living side by side together.  Thanks to Hiccup and his friends, they showed how they could co-exist and become dragon riders and now even started a 'Dragon Academy' in which they can learn more about dragons, but not everyone is happy with this new life, there are those who want dragons gone, rival clans who want the dragons and or just out right kill them.  Can Hiccup, his friends and their dragons protect the island of Berk?  The latest DVDs of Dragons: Riders Of Berk tell us the latest in the saga that began with the first-ever DVD of the TV show we covered at this link:

This time, Hiccup and his friends have their work cut out for them, now they have made peace with the dragons, doesn't mean everything goes smoothly.  To work out their new found dragon friends and allies they start the Dragon Academy for the training of wild dragons. But they are faced with the challenges of stubborn villagers who are refusing to change, invaders and other dragon related problems.  As the island of Berk changes they face the pros and cons of living with dragons. 

 

Based on the CGI movie How to Train Your Dragon, DreamWorks now brings you an animated adventure series of a young boy and his dragon, and his friends and their dragons.  This is a family friendly cartoon, as the 'barbaric' Vikings learn to become dragon riders with the 'scary' dragons.  Each episode the characters face a new problem in which the dragons help solve by the end, from fighting bad guys to dealing with dragon prejudice.  Extras include evolution of various dragons, 'Fly High' and 'Heavy Metal' mash up and the world of DreamWorks animation, while the sound and picture continue to be as good as the first DVD release was.
