IP Man: The Final Fight (2013/Well Go USA Blu-ray)

After post war Hong Kong, Grandmaster Wing Chun, just want to retire in peace, but even after the war there is still much civil unrest and revolution. He and his few students are just trying to get by and feed their families. There are factions in the city which control the government and underworld Triads, and they are not above using force to get what they want. As IP Man is a man of peace, he reminds his students not to use their martial arts for self gain or violence, but when one of his own gets in trouble, IP Man is called to take action one last time in Herman Yau's IP Man: The Final Fight (2013).

IP Man and his martial arts is a well respected Master of martial arts with his school of a few chosen students. While just seeking to go on with their daily lives, they try to help rebuild their community after the war. They seek no glory or fame. In fact, their martial arts is based more on self control than power, but less modest schools martial arts and gangs who seek to make a name for themselves, and believe might makes right, and constantly challenges them. As IP Man seeks to care for his own family, his fellow students and stay out of social politics, he also cannot stand idly by when innocents get hurt.

This was an interesting martial arts film, a third in the same series released by Well Go USA in the US market and is based on a historical true story. People who studied martial arts were not only learning to fight, but doing it for good health, though to protect themselves from others. Even more interesting is when people study martial arts and use it in pair with non-violence. The story of IP Man, is famous not only for it's martial arts and power, but teaches the respect and humility for others and of elders.

The 1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image was shot on a RED ONE MX and DTS HD MA (master Audio) 5.1 is the sound mix, looking and sounding as good as the previous Blu-rays. The combination is decent, but not a knockout wither. Extras include making of the film, cast and crew interviews, and trailers.
