The
latest pair of children's DVD releases are both solid and encourage
young viewers to get involved in more than just watching TV.
Lalaloopsy:
Friends Are Sew Special
from Nickelodeon DVD continues the world of characters in and
connected to art and crafts, particularly cloth items. My first
impression of the franchise comes from a review a while ago from a
different series in the growing franchise reviewed at this link:
http://www.fulvuedrive-in.com/review/11511/Adventures+In+Lalaloopy+Land:+The+Search+For
The
new release run 88 minutes and not only offers a little more
programming as the best friend rag dolls come back to life again and
embark on their latest adventures. The only extra is a compact
sewing kit with cardboard and lace in the DVD case.
Sesame
Street: Be A Good Sport
runs even longer at 124 minutes and complies skits and programs that
mostly relate to various sports. Some of these are very funny,
others just plain smart. However, some skits do not have anything to
do with sports (but Super Grover is wilder than ever) and this
child-friendly DVD is also worth your time.
Extras
include printable DVD-ROM PDF Activity Pages, Parent Tips and bonus
Worm Games clip.
Both
discs offer anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and the lossy
Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo that look and sound good, fine and are
consistent as new TV productions should be. Professional edited and
rendered, Lalaloopsy
is in CGI and Sesame
now in HD.
