That Awkward Moment (2014/Sony Blu-ray)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: A Film: B-

After the failed marriage of one of their close friends, Jason, Mikey and Daniel are best friends who are committed to being non-commitment in a relationship (but having friends with benefits is still OK). They all vow to stay single as long as humanly possible and who ever gets into a serious relationship first is a loser, yet when Jason meets the unpredictable and fun loving Ellie, he just can't help falling for her, can Jason keep his vow of bachelorhood and still somehow see her?

Jason, Mikey and Daniel are your 3 typical bachelors who are fed up with the drama that comes with the relationships, especially when it comes to the word boyfriend & commitment. Jason (Zac Efron) is a freelance artist believes women should be like like enjoying one can of beer to the next, one after another. Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) is in a failed marriage but struggles to work things after his wife admitting to an affair. And Daniel (Miles Teller) is more or less Jason's sidekick who needs to just get back in the game. When all three find girlfriends and new relationships, it will be a competition to see who can be the guy to admit they haven't fallen in love again.

This was a typical girl/chic flick movie about making fun of guys who don't want to commit that becomes a romantic comedy of them committing anyway. It has a comic twist with irony, the characters don't want be considered boyfriends, but they can't give up the sex either, so the harder they try not to fall in love, the faster and harder they do when it hits them.

The 1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High Definition image transfer is pretty consistent and pf the quality you'd expect from Blu-ray, but without any standout shots, while the dialogue-based DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 lossless mix has enough music for a consistent soundfield throughout. Extras include meeting with the characters, behind the scenes, gag reel and trailers.
