Doctor Who: The Time Of The Doctor (2014/BBC Blu-ray)

Picture: A- Sound: A- Extras: A Main Program: A

The Doctor is in. A mysterious message is discovered across time and space and has gathered all the deadliest species of the universe to a mysterious backwater planet and town called Christmas. The Doctor and his current companion Clara investigates this signal, the slightest mistake could trigger a intergalactic war, but what they find is tied to the Doctor's past and the Times Lords across ALL space and time in Time Of The Doctor.

It's the season finale for the climax of Doctor Who, in the face of thousands of enemy aliens the Doctor takes his final stand when he discovers his home world still intact, but what has call them all across space and time is a crack in reality of the universe. ALL the Time Lords from ALL the dimensions are signaling the Doctor answer and to return the the right universe, and all the Doctor has to do is say his name. And all the alien species will do anything to prevent the return of the Time Lords, even destroy the Doctor's home planet. After protecting the planet for 300 years, the Doctor is on his final regeneration, but Clara begs the Time Lords to help him for all the things he has done, and the Time Lords reset his regeneration cycle and a new Doctor is born.

If you are not already aware, Doctor Who is a BBC science fiction character who travels across time and space in his TARDIS (disguised and stuck as a U.K. police box) finding new places and aliens (and saving the world on the side). The Doctor is a renegade Time Lord with regeneration abilities (limited) with each new regeneration he changes his appearance and character personality, which allows every new doctor to start with a new blank slate with a new story. With each regeneration each doctor selects a human companion (usually female) to journey and share his adventures with him.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image and DTS-HD MA lossless 5.1 sound mix are as good as any TV on Blu-ray title I have ever seen. Extras include behind the scenes, Tales of the Tardis, and Farewell to Matt Smith.
