The
adventures continue for Hiccup and his Dragon Academy. By now, all
the Vikings clans know of Berk and of their trained dragons, and
after seeing how having a dragon can give an advantage in a fight,
they all want one. While they continue to train and break new
grounds between humans and dragons, other clans aren't as happy with
the peace and harmony between the humans and the dragons versus when
they used to hunt each other. Will Hiccup and company be able to
defend Berk from it's invaders? In Part
2
of Dragons:
Defenders of Berk,
Hiccup and the Dragon Academy continue to train and prepare on coming
Viking invaders and wild dragons who want Berk, the best and largest
island on the archipelago. Along with new dragons and enemies,
Hiccup must keep the peace between the humans and dragons and protect
them from the Skrill, a legendary lighting dragon.
This
was a fun series good for children who like dragons and adventures.
As the series progresses the dragons become more personalized,
characterize and symbolic of their riders, and the dragons becomes
more like a pet than wild monsters. While they DO fight other
Vikings and dragons, everything is comical and no one really ever
dies.
The
anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and lossy Dolby Digital 5.1
mix are as good as these shows are going to play in the DVD format.
Extras include Dragon Tracker, Part 4, Evolution of the
Skrill, Here Comes the Fire Dragon Mash-up and the World
of DreamWorks Animation. We also received a tie-in comic book
separately and though it does not come with this release, it was
surprisingly well made.
