The
music, songs and romance continues in Utano Prince-sama 2000%
(aka Season 2, 2013). Now that Starish has debuted, Nanami and the
boys have entered their second year at Saotome Academy and the master
course, but things are only just beginning. They must now work
together to soar to even higher heights, including adding a new
member to their group. As they journey on the road to stardom they
will compete with their predecessors and other idols for the Uta Pri
Award. Will Nanami be able to compose a song to bring all their
hearts and talents together?
Saotome
Academy is the school for potential artists, actors, musicians,
performers and idols. Nanami is the music composer for the newest hit
boy band, Starish. Each member is already a star (and all of them
are secretly in love with with Nanami). Otoya is the lead and most
up beat of the group. Syo is the youngest and cutest, often mistaken
for a girl and treated as such. Shinomiya has a dual persona when he
takes off his glasses he turns into Satsuki, a darker and more
aggressive version of himself. Ichinose was a former star but was
then saved by Nanami during his depression. Hijirikawa is a perfect
Japanese gentleman and his rival and opposite is Jinguji, a wild
playboy who is also an heir to corporation. Their newest and final
member is Cecil who is a real prince and also has feelings towards
Nanami.
This
is a wonderful anime series about one girl and a ton of pretty boys
mixed with J-pop, sing and dancing. Ignoring the fact that the
school seems to have a monopoly on the entire entertainment business,
it is a story about the romance and rivals between the heroine and a
group of rising young idols.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital high definition image is stunning throughout,
while the DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) lossless 2.0 Stereo sound is rich
and warm with nice Pro Logic surrounds, but too bad it is not a 5.1
or 7.1 mix. Extras include clean opening and closing with trailers.
