Majestic Prince: Collection 2 (2013/Section 23/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: A Sound: B Extras: D Episodes: A-

As the war between Earth and the Wulgaru forces continues, the Majestic Princes or MJP (a.k.a. Team Rabbits/Fail 5) continues to prove themselves above and beyond duty with their ever evolving ASHMB mecha units. That they are the only ones who have been effective in defending, repelling and even defeating the enemy on their own grounds, but with each victory, their next mission becomes more dangerous and they never know when their next mission will be their last in the exciting Anime series Majestic Prince: Collection 2 (2013).

Izuru, Asagi, Kei, Tamaki, and Suruga are the Majestic Princes, a group of genetically altered children created to pilot the prototype ASHMB units. The ASHMB units are powerful experimental mechas, each one tailored to their talents. Originally called team 'Fail 5', they were considered test subjects and failures. Suruga is an weapons freak/sniper, Tamaki is their heavy artillery, Kei is their communication and information scout, Asagi is their close combat expert, and Izuru is their leader. Izuru's Red 5 in particular has been evolving at a exponential rate and has captured the notices of both friend and foe, that some want control it and other would like to see it destroyed. They are joined by a new ASHMB member Ange. Together, they fight to protect the Earth from the Wulgaru, a race of aliens who live by combat that the strongest have rights of 'harvesting' genes of other races.

This series is your usual standard anime sci-fi space opera. Full of action, adventure and mechas (and makes Stars Wars space battles look like child's play). As usual, a group of teenagers must become the heroes to save the world in their mecha/robots. My only complaint is they should of released it as a complete series instead of 2 parts, but maybe we'll see such a set later.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image is top rate throughout, while the lossless DTS-HD (MA) Master Audio 2.0 Stereo has decent Pro Logic-like surrounds and is pretty warm from show to show. There are no extras.
