Under Wraps (2014/Arc DVD)

Picture: B Sound: C+ Extras: D Animated Feature: B+

All Danny wanted was to go on an adventure with his scientist parents, but when sneaks into the pyramid he steals and breaks the mummies amulet, and then he turns his parents into mummies. Now he has to find a way to reverse the curse before it becomes permanent ...only small problem is he has a 7 foot tall (and angry) mummy chasing after him in Gordon Crum's CGI animated Under Wraps (2014).

Danny is your average kid who dreams of big adventure and finding treasure, but he seems to trip every trap and break every artifact he touches. And everything his parents tell him not to do, he does the exact opposite. He finally realizes he gone too far when he releases the mummies curse on his parents turning them into mummies and he only has until sunset to find the ingredients to the ritual to save them.

The main character is one of the children whom you wish you've never had (he sorta reminded me of Dennis the Menace), if there is trouble he'll find it. In the end he is just trying get his parent's attention and be like them, and by the end he realizes he gotta learn to be a bit more responsible for his actions. Drake Bell and Brooke Shields are among the voice actors.

This only lasts 45 minutes, but is not bad at all, along with its anamorphically enhanced image. The lossy Dolby Digital sound is almost as good, but could use a lossless presentation and there are no extras, unfortunately.
