Heather McDonald - I Don't Mean To Brag (2015/Inception DVD)

Picture: B- Sound: B- Extras: D Concert: C

Heather McDonald is a decent stand up comedian who doesn't hold back in her first ever TV MA solo comedy special produced by Showtime, which showcases her at times hilarious storytelling talents. With wit, smarts and a definite edge, she recounts the many ways she attempts to balance fame and being a mother of three children and a husband which she covers among other topics in Heather McDonald - I Don't Mean To Brag (2015).

While Heather does look great for her age and has some funny bits for the most part I felt that myself personally find it hard to relate to her. If I were a middle aged woman with a family then I would probably eat this up but at the end of the day it seems like she lacks the flair of other female stand-ups like Sara Silverman.

Presented in standard definition with a 16 X 9/1.78 X 1 anamorphically enhanced widescreen aspect ratio and a lossy 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo track, the film sounds and looks good for the DVD format but could benefit from a high definition upgrade.

There are no features or supplements on the disc.
