Regular Show: Mordecai Pack (2014/Cartoon Network/Warner DVD Set)

Picture: C- Sound: C Extras: D Episodes: C

Mordecai and Rigby just two regular guys just living together, trying to have fun and not get fired. Unfortunately for Mordecai his best friend is the world's greatest trouble maker, tell him not to do something he still does it anyway. Luckily for Rigby, Mordecai values his friendship over his own personal sanity. Each day between their friends, their boss, and Mordecai's girlfriend CJ they have various adventures in allegedly key episodes of The Regular Show: Mordecai Pack (2014).

This animation is like a toned down version of Beavis and Butt-head crossed with The Simpsons; while Mordecai (relatively) has the voice of reason, Rigby is more like Bart Simpson, playing pranks, lazy, and constantly getting them into trouble. Together, they are like a tornado of chaos where ever they go.

The Regular Show looks like a kids animation, but the jokes are geared more for adults. Each episode is more like a 5-10 minute short. Most plot makes fun of racist, prejudice and sexist ideas. Ironically, the main characters sorta are more like anti-heroes, they are not role models but the are not completely fools either. In the end, the characters (sorta) learn from their mistakes and help one another. Anything can happen from fighting an evil organization of blondes, to making friends with cavemen, or just trying to not to get fired (which seems to be a constant theme being reused) because of something stupid they did.

The animation affects my rating so the anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image just does not do it for me and the lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is not much better. There are no extras.
