Golden Time: Collection 2 (2014/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: A Sound: B+ Extras: C- Episodes: B+

Because of an accident, Tada Banri has forgotten everything since he left high school. Now he's in Tokyo college dating Kaga Kouko, but things get complicated when he is reunited with his former classmate and crush, Linda. Now he fears his past, if he remember his past he is afraid he will lose everything he had up until now in Golden Time: Collection 2 (2014).

After a certain incident, Banri was so emotionally traumatized he was hospitalized and end up forgetting his past, family, friends ...everything. After entering college he befriends the enigmatic Kouko and the kind upper-classman Linda. Kouko is a fireball of feelings, that she expresses her feelings with over the extreme methods, but in truth both of them fears rejection. After Banri and Kouko become girlfriend and boyfriend, part of Banri past self can't forget his relationship with Linda and starts taking over him. Can Banri and Kouko over come their own fears and past to become a real couple?

In Part 2 of Golden, the relationships become more serious with the relationship between the main characters, and their love triangle. It keeps on jumping back and forth, sometimes it feels like a love comedy, but other times it is emotional trauma and drama. The main character seems like he suffers from some kind weird of multiple personality disorder, but truth is both the characters fear responsibility and can't bear pain of rejection. As they come to accept their current selves learn to accept each other flaws as well.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image is great on each episode, while the lossless Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo is warm, rich and even offers uncredited Pro Logic-like surrounds. Extras include clean opening and closing animations and trailers.
