Nurse
Jackie returns in Season 6 after falling off the band
wagon of sobriety. Jackie (Edie Falco) soon realizes that her best
cover for being high is to be sober, all she has to do is steal the
doctor's DEA number! Now, she can get high, save lives, take care of
her kids and date her police boyfriend ...what could go wrong?
As
you may already know, Jackie is the head nurse, a mother... and a
junkie; a main character who is an overworked, stressed out, under
paid, single mother. Not only is she working the ER, but also going
through a divorce, and doing drugs while keeping under her daughter
and policeman-boyfriend's radar. She has the right connections, the
skills and knowledge to know how to beat the system and as long as
she doesn't mess up or get caught, it's all good, right? She's got
everyone fooled or under her thumb, and she'll go to any length get a
high. Her only saving grace is the only things she loves more than
drugs is saving lives.
The
series seems to say the reason nurses, doctors and other hospital
employees, smoke, drink, do drugs and have sex in the hospital to
cope with not only the stress at work but drama in their private
lives. Season Six had less comedy but was more about Nurse
Jackie's ultimate down fall, yet there is so much more to see.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image looks even better than
last season and the lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 mixes on
each show is as well mixed and well recorded as before. Extras
include "Deceit, Descent, Destruction: Jackie's Downfall"
featurette, "Growing Up Peyton" featurette, deleted
scenes, and audio commentary with cast and crew on four episodes that
worked more than expexted.

and Bone - Zoe confronts Prentiss to see if he is happy with his
work. Jackie asks Frank to move in with her.

Wood - Jackie's fake ID begins to falling apart. Prentiss has a
confession to Zoey.
Rat
On a Cheeto - Jackie meets Antoinette and she becomes her
addiction sponsor. Coop becomes Chief of Medicine.
The
Lady With the Lamp - Jackie tries to detox at home and has a
strange drug trip.
Candyman
- One of the hospital's co-worker dies. Frank warns Jackie the
DEA agents are onto her.
Sidecars
and Spermicide - As the DEA agents zero in on a suspect, Jackie
uses extreme methods to get her drugs, including blackmail.
Sisterhood
- Jackie frames a dying nun as the suspect the DEA is searching
for.
Flight
- Jackie tries to run from town when Zoe confronts her with hard
evidence that proves Jackie is doing drugs again.
