The Familiar Zero: Knight Of The Twin Moon - Complete Collection Season 2 (2007/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: A Sound: B+ Extras: C Episodes: A-

After being summoned to another world, Saito passed up the chance to return home when he decided to stay with Louise, but on the brink of war, what is their relationship? Familiar, partners, friends.... or maybe something even more? As Louise learn to control her new Void power, can she and Saito protect Queen, Kingdom, and Magic Academy from those who would destroy it? But more importantly, will Louise ever admit her feelings for Saito?

Saito was an ordinary boy until he got summoned to a world of magic and dragons, now he is not only Louise's protector and familiar but also a knight of the realm too. Saito is against Louise going to war, but he still decides to protect her and all their friends. Louise on the other hand believes herself to be a true noble and to fight and die for the Queen is the greatest honor a noble can have. While she cares for Saito she can't help but get jealous when other girls (including a certain buxom maid and even the queen) are near him, but it would be a cold day in hell before she ever admits her true feelings toward him in The Familiar Zero: Knight Of The Twin Moon - Complete Collection Season 2 (2007).

This was a comical anime, full of magic and beautiful girls. And of course, this leaves the main heroine riled up whenever she sees her man is surrounded by other girls (who the same feelings towards the hero). And while the hero remains mostly devoted to Louise, he can't help but be attracted to other girls who aren't as into S&M as much as her. In the end, he teaches her nobility is an illusion create by those in power and a poor substitute for pride, and proves it is far better to be honest to one's heart.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 image is great and holds up, especially for its age, while the DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo is as good as it can get, especially for the show being much older than most of late. Extras include Clean Opening & Closing Credits, plus Sentai Trailers.
