Magical Warfare: Complete Collection (2014/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: C Episodes: B

Takashi, Kurumi, and Kazuma used to be normal high school students until Mui, a magical girl stepped into their lives. After awakening their latent powers, the three are dragged into a secret war between two wizard factions, Wizard's Breath and Ghost Trailer. As Takashi and his friends learn more about magic and it's history, they will have to decide which side they stand on In Magical Warfare: Complete Collection (2014).

Takashi is the male protagonist, after becoming a wizard he specializes in evasion magic with a magical sword. Kazuma is Takashi's best friend and uses destruction fire magic. Kurumi is Takashi's childhood friend and is gifted with transformation magic and is in love with Takashi. Mui is gifted with speed magic and uses a magical gun, after rescuing her brother she transfers her affections toward Takashi. More often than not Mui gets into trouble, and Takashi and the others has to rescue her which causes Kurumi to get jealous but she loves him even more for his kindness.

This was your typical anime boy finds magic world and must save the world from destruction. While the characters were interesting, near the end of the series it felt rushed and left it on a cliffhanger ending. Otherwise, well done.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital high definition image is another series of quality presentations from episode to episode that may not be Sentai's very best, but is more than HD enough, while the lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo mixes on each show equal (if not surpass) the picture, so these all play back just fine. Extras include clean opening and closing animation and trailers.
