Hayate The Combat Butler: Cuties - Season 4 (2008 - 2009/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: A+ Sound: B+ Extras: C Episodes: B+

After Hayate's irresponsible parents left him with a huge debt, when Hayate first met Nagi she was the sole heiress to Sanzenin fortune and Hayate rescued her from some kidnappers. Since then, Nagi has paid off his debt and hired Hayate to be her personal butler. As Nagi soon discovers, Hayate proves himself to be the ultimate butler, he can do anything from serving to fighting off people who are after her fortune. Nagi ends up falling in love with Hayate, but then to her frustration so does all her friends in Hayate The Combat Butler: Cuties - Season 4 (2008 - 2009).

Hayate has the worst luck in the world when it comes to his parents, but because of that, Hayate has worked all sorts of odd jobs and learn the skills to become the ultimate butler. His luck finally turns around when he becomes Nagi's butler and he now works to protect and satisfy all her needs (and for some reason the girls all love Hayate cross-dressing). He impresses all the girls around Nagi and his kindness know no limits, the only thing he lacks is that he is unaware of all the girls feelings toward him. Currently, they live alternating between Nagi's mansion and the school dorms where all the girls are also his dorm-mates.

This has been a long comical anime series, but what it basically has turned into is harem romantic comedy with a bit of action from time to time. While the romance is all comical, there is plenty of crazy combat for the main protagonist who is forced to fight 'out of duty' to protect his mistress and their friends.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image is amazing color, sharp images and great performance for the art style & pallets chosen among Sentai's best, while the DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo lossless track on each show is warm, clean, well-recorded, well-mixed and has healthy Pro Logic-like surrounds. Extras include clean opening and closing animation and trailers.
