Kung Fu and Titties (2013/MVD Visual DVD)

Picture: C+ Sound: C+ Extras: D Film: C

As the title suggests, Kung Fu and Titties is a very low budget comedy/softcore porn film that is surprisingly entertaining and at times so over the top that its funny. Supporting characters vary from a wise Indian, a Hugh Hefner-esque villain named Zeefros, a man in a gorilla costume and plenty of, you guessed it, titties (of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities). This film is outrageous and has a familiar but well executed script that is actually pretty creative and fun.

Richard Titties, an out-of-shape martial arts wannabe, is shot into an alternate dimension after his controlling girlfriend Cynthia is kidnapped. Her captors are a group of tittie obsessed madmen led by Zeefros, an old dirty man who is the master of the supernatural realm. Zeefros kidnaps women for the sole purpose of seeing their titties. Richard joins up with his sister Raine Brown, a Gorilla and a gaggle of other strange characters, in order to save his girlfriend. He must search inside, overcome his futile martial arts skills, and find the kung fu fighter within if he is to save himself and all those that dwell in the alternate world.

The film stars Raine Brown, Sean Molnar, Mike Marino, Seregon O'Dassey, Bronson Pinchot, Kevin Kolack, John Archer Lundgren, Tayy B, Lori Ann Kim, Rowan Bousaid, Steve Potenzieri, Evan Goldstein, Jeanine Hill, and Dixon Mason.

The transfer on the disc is standard for DVD and is presented in anamorphic 16 X 9/1.78 X 1 widescreen with an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and a standard stereo track. Some scenes are soft in focus and overly grainy as is expected for a film with such a small budget.

No extras on the disc, which is a shame because I would be curious to hear how this crazy debacle came to be. At any rate, this film is silly fun and not to be taken seriously. If you like Adult Swim-type humor or films like Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, then this over the top adventure may be for you. It doesn't hide what it is but if they would have had a bigger budget and some better locations then this could have been a bit better.
