After
the crushing defeat by Nekoma High, Karasuno High Volleyball team
vows to improve and enter the inter-high school championships.
Hinata and Tobio are the two rising freshman star of Karasuno, a
genius setter and spiker, but Tobio faces his own challenge, while he
is nick named the Lonely King of the court, he must learn to rely on
others and trust them. In order to advance they must beat the Iron
Wall of Date High, and Tobio faces his long time rival Oikawa of
Aoba-Johsai High in Haikyu!! : Collection 2 (2015).
Hinata
is the fireball spiker of Karasuno High with his superhuman spikes,
but only when teamed up with Tobio, the only setter who can keep up
with Hinata's super jumps and speed. After Karasuno gets a full team
roster and new strong players they now must learn how to play
together. Because there is no "I" in team, that even Ace
or a King of the Court can't win a game on his own.
This again
is your typical sports anime, where hearts are on the line and the
sweat of youth is rolling off your back. As usual, it a group of
underdogs who look to go to the National Championship. It takes
longer watching the series than watching a REAL game because of all
the slow motion scenes, monologues and flashbacks of the players.
Extras include clean opening and closing animations and trailers,
while playback performance is on par with the debut season I reviewed
at this link...
