Sasami-san@Ganbaranai: Complete Collection (2013/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: A+ Sound: B Extras: C Episodes: B+

Sasami-san is a hikikomori living with her brother (whom never shows his face) who also is her provider, guardian, and protector. She lives through her computers and her motto in life is to "Never do or try her best." However everything suddenly changes when the 3 Yagami sisters appear in their life and tell her there are magic powers, gods and goddesses in the world, and she is the ultimate god. Can Sasami ignore the real world ...but if she is a goddess does it mean she can change reality to anything she wants?

In Sasami-san@Ganbaranai: Complete Collection (2013), Sasami and her brother (who has a major sister complex) Kamiomi are in truth both runaway gods who were tired of the world using/relying on them and they want to live 'normal' lives as humans. Sasami's father is a shrine priest who want to control her powers, and her mother is an undead priestess zombie who want to force Sasami to her rightful place in the heavens. The 3 Yagami sisters are also deities,Tsurugi is the first goddess who created everything, Kagami is sleepy ex machina war machine, and Tama is the newest and youngest Goddess who has the power to 'consume' all previous deities. Together, they protect Sasami's right to a 'normal' life, but is that even godly possible with all the spiritual and supernatural forces who want her powers (since she isn't using them)?

At first I though this anime was some abstract anime full of Magical Girls and "'What the %$@^!", but after you realize the characters are all super-powerful gods/goddesses it begins to make a bit more sense.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image on all episodes represents yet another demo-quality-throughout Sentai visual release, while the lossless Japanese DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo (with some Pro Logic surrounds) is good and well-recorded but not as impactful as it could be and not always up to the picture playback. Extras include clean opening and closing animations and trailers.
