Troma
brings you a low budget anthology in Theater of the Deranged 2
(2013). The second installment of the anthology series is, as with
the first, executive produced by James Cullen Bressack and Jarret
Cohen at Psykik Junky Pictures.
Comprised
of ''5 blood curdling horror films, all of which are actually
enchanted and or cursed,'' with host Damien Shadows showing viewers
how to ward off the spirits after each tale. The shorts featured in
Theatre Of The Deranged II include Bressack's Unmimely Demise,
Dustin Mills' Plate Face, Shane Ryan's Tag, Panty Raid from Shawn
Burkett and My Aunt Is Coming To Town from Christopher Leto.
The
film features some bizarre short stories with the strongest being
Bressack's Unmimely demise, while other segments such as Plateface
that has a great creepy feel but ultimately let down with the ending.
Presented
in 1080p high definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and
a English, lossy Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track, the film looks and
sounds fine on Blu-ray but due to the low budget isn't as impressive
as other Blu-ray discs.

If
you're into low budget gore shorts then you may want to give this one
a spin. It's not as innovative as other low budget horror
anthologies, such as Toetag's The Murder Collection, but was
better than I was expecting.
