Nana
finds herself suddenly a Locodol (local+idol) when she is paired up
with Yukari to be hometown idols. Together, they work together to
help revive their town image and PR, Nagarekawa. Through various
minor advertisements and performances, they help increase people's
awareness of Nagarekawa and Locodols. As they follow the path to
stardom their fame and friendship grows in Locodol: Complete
Series (2014).
Nana is scatter-brained, clumsy and flat
chested but she suddenly finds herself tricked into become a local
idol by her uncle. She is paired with Yukari who is rich, talented
and perfect, also she seems to want to be more than just 'friends'
with Nana. (Nana, of course, doesn't realize this). They are soon
join by Yui and Nat-chan who play the town mascot. How far will the
Nagarekawa Girls go? Will they become real idols on a national
level?
This was a cute anime about girls dreaming about being
idols. While it was cute, being REAL idols is about living up to an
image, an idea, more often being an idol you become slaves to image,
fashion, their managers and what the world thinks of you.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image is pretty strong through
all the shows, while the lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) Japanese
2.0 Stereo sound is very good with Pro-Logic-like surrounds if you
wish. Extras include art bumpers and trailers.
