David
Gaz's Kindness is Contagious (2014) is a documentary more on
the side of getting a message across, rather than a stylistic
masterpiece. It delivers a modest message of how one individual
person being nice or kind can benefit not only you, but also a
community or even the world.
It
may sound too good to be true, people being kind to one another and
in doing so making the world the better place by simply following
this trend, but it is not just wishful thinking as this documentary
gives evidence and studies that show its benefits. It also follows
couples around who are nice and people who volunteer to help others.
The
documentary is presented on a single-disc DVD and standard
definition. It has a lossy Dolby Digital soundtrack that sounds
decent enough for Kindness is Contagious, because it is not
the most flashy film.
There
are a couple bonus features on the DVD, which include: At Catalyst
University with David Gaz and Q&A with the Filmmakers at
Stanford University.
With
an inspiring and important message, Kindness is Contagious is
a documentary you may want to give a try if you are looking for ways
to help out and spread the viral message of kindness, because anyone
can.
