Freaks Of Nature (2015/Sony Blu-ray)

Picture: C Sound: C Extras: B Film: B+

Welcome to the quiet (OK, maybe not so quiet) town of Dillford where vampires, humans and zombies all co-exist and live together. As the vampires are at the top of the food chain, zombies are at the bottom and humans somewhere in between the two, but all of that soon comes to an screeching end when an aliens invasion begins and turns it into a vampire, human, zombie and alien free-for-all. Their only hope lies with 3 kids, one human, one vampire, and one zombie to set aside their differences and work together to stop the invasion in Robbie Pickering's Freaks Of Nature (2015).

Dug and his friends, Petro, a recently turned vampire girl and Ned, a recently turned zombie boy are the survivors of vampire, human, zombie and alien apocalypse. They must set aside their natural instincts to work together to defeat the aliens. Dug resists his urge to have masturbate and have sex with girls, Petro resists drinking their blood, and Ned resists eating their brains. Fortunately, they stumble on the alien's one weakness, they can only see inorganic matter... in other words they are invisible to the aliens if they don't wear clothes, so the fate of the world depends on 3 naked beings, one human and 2 undead.

This was no
Twilight or Warm Bodies, but this film is at least worth watching for a laugh. It is about the 3 high school's biggest losers working to save the world (and their love lives, questionably) between the vampire, humans and zombies. It made fun of all the vampire, human and zombie stereotypes. Denis Leary, Bob Odenkirk, Joan Cusack, Vanessa Hudgens, Pat Healy, Mae Whitman and Patton Oswalt star.

The 1080p 2.35 X 1 digital High definition image and lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 5.1 mix are disappointing with weak playback and uneven presentation throughout, likely by design but not good. Extras include gag reel, deleted scenes, and alternate opening.
