Wolf Girl & Black Prince: Complete Collection (2014 Season One/Sentai Blu-ray)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: C Episodes: B+

Upon entering high school Erika takes a picture of a random handsome boy and pretends he is her boyfriend to impress her fellow classmates. Little did she realize he is the Prince of the school and asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend. Kyoya agrees to be her faux boyfriend ...but the price for pretending to be her boyfriend is that she is now at his beck and call. Literally she is his 'dog' and he is her 'master' and Erika realizes too late that Kyoya has a sadistic side to him, but before they know it, their 'fake' relationship maybe become 'real', will true love blossom between wolf girl and black prince?

In Wolf Girl & Black Prince: Complete Collection (2014), in order to become popular Erika just had to pretend she had a drop dead gorgeous boyfriend and picks Kyoya, the most popular boy in her school. Turns out since he can have any girl he wants, he is sick of girls flirting with him and prefers to just play around with them. But what started playing pretend, Erika sudden realizes she really is falling for Kyoya... problem is Kyoya has a problem expressing his feelings, but he can't stop feeling jealous when Erika starts gets close to other boys.

This was your typical shoujo (girls) anime, it is all about how a girl can find their own 'Prince Charming' but what seems to be a picture perfect fairy tale relationship. Reality is harsher, it is about the couples overcoming hardships, challenges and more importantly, their own pasts, personality and insecurities.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image on all the shows are just fine, nothing spectacular, but high quality enough as is the Japanese DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo with some Pro Logic-like surrounds. This results in a combination that's just fine, if not the exceptional best from Sentai. Extras include clean opening and closing animations and trailers.
