annual Discovery Channel Shark

series, then this Shark
Week: Jawsome Encounters
(2016) set will be a great way for you to dive in head first! This
three-disc DVD set is not only factual but is so incredibly well shot
that its easy to feel as if you are under the water along for the
ride. In this edition, you get to explore zombie sharks, monster
hammerhead sharks, tiger sharks, and of course, the great white
himself! So whatever size you like your shark, you'll get to see it
here in its natural habitat!

in standard definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and a
lossy English 2.0 Dolby Digital Stereo Audio track, the show looks as
good as it did on the original broadcast version. Of course, a
Blu-ray would be expected have a crisper and more satisfying HD
presentation but for DVD. this release doesn't look too bad. Also
included is a digital copy. No additional extras either.
I'm
not a shark expert by any means, but being a fan of sharks and shark
movies, I had a great time watching all of this and found it pretty
easy to binge watch. Some highlights of the program for me was Shark
of Darkness,
where we actually see a tour boat sink and a rescue mission is
dispatched and even the late actor Paul Walker shows up in the
episode Spawn
of Jaws,
where he helps put a tracking device on a pregnant shark to see where
she lands to give birth. Tragically, the actor died before they
could meet again months later to witness it. At any rate, this is a
great release full of interesting content that will keep shark fans
entertained.
