Richard Dreyfus stars in a rather unusual X-Rated 1975 film from Director John Byrum, Inserts. Looking fantastic on Blu-ray from Twilight Time, Inserts is a bizarre cult film that hasn't been seen in years that is now finding its way back into the limelight (or is that red light?). The film also features Bob Hoskins (The Long Good Friday) some pretty astonishing co-stars in Jessica Harper (Dario Argento's masterpiece Suspiria) and Veronica Cartwright (Ridley Scott's masterpiece Alien).

Dreyfus is a silent film director who just hasn't quite made the transition to talkies and is feeling like a has-been. Tucked away in his Hollywood mansion, he decides to start making pornographic films and things start to get more interesting for him and affect those working around him. Made the sane year as Jaws, this is towards the end of the X-ratings non-pornographic (ironically) use before the real sex film industry hijacked the letter grade forever.

Inserts has never looked (save superior 35mm film prints) or sounded as good as it does here, presented in 1080p high definition with a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and a perfect sounding English 1.0 DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) lossless Mono that improves greatly upon the original recording.

Special Features include...

Isolated Music & Effects Track

Original Theatrical Trailer

Collectible Insert Booklet with another excellent Julie Kirgo essay

An interesting, if not bizarre film, if you're interested in 1970s cult films and like the name stars behind this.
