After
nuclear apocalypse, humanity had survived in space on Ark for 100
years, but the Ark is dying and sends 100 'fugitives' to see if Earth
is habitable again. Not only did they discover Earth is habitable,
but there are other survivors, 'Grounder' natives tribes, 'Mountain
Men' people who survived in a nuclear bunker, and it's a brave, new
and dangerous world. After the Ark crashes to Earth, the Grounders
and the Ark Survivors or 'Skycrew' unite to defeat the Mountain Men
who survive off the blood and marrow or the Grounders and Skycrew.
And while there are tentative truce exist between the tribes, a new
more even deadlier unseen enemy now walks among them...
The
100: The Complete Third Season (2014 - 2015) picks up after the
defeat of the Mountain Men, Clarke is haunted by the lives she took
to save her people and has left and gone missing. Clarke becomes
political pawn between the tribal leaders and a bounty is placed on
her head. After the death of Maya, Jasper has become a drunken junkie
and will do anything for a fix. Octavia has left and sided with the
Grounders and without Clarke or Octavia, Bellamy has reverted back to
being an idiotic bully. Monty is reunited with his mother, but is
forced to spy on his friends. Arcadia leadership has fallen to
Pike a survivor of Farm Station who proves to become a dictator
killing their Grounder allies and starts another war. Meanwhile, the
savage Ice Nation Tribe sees a chance to take over all tribes. But
now, they face A.L.I.E. the A.I. that destroyed the world and has
begun secretly chipping the humans, taking over their minds and
manipulating all tribes.
This
was a post apocalypse sci-fi TV series, and while no one is a hero,
everyone is just trying to survive, but the whole problem is peace is
rare (and often abused). Leaders fight for the survivors of their
people and would be forced to kill other tribes in order to do so.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image and lossless DTS-HD MA
(Master Audio) 5.1 mix are great and far outdo the show on DVD as we
saw on the previous season set we reviewed (see link below),
increasing the show's impact. Extras
