After
the near destruction of the Machine and barely getting away, John,
Harold and the others escape with a compressed version of the
Machine. As they reboot and rebuild their operations there are still
a few bugs to get out and a few components missing. Then that's
never stopped them from saving lives. Along with Detective Fusco,
Root, and Shaw they continue to hide and fight the Samaritan (the
Machine 2.0) which now has the U.S. governments full backing to hunt
them down in Person Of Interest: The Fifth and Final Season
(2015 - 2016).
The
government secretly created the Machine, an A.I.-capable unit that
can spy, index, influence and even predict anything connected to the
net. While most people are consider insignificant, there are those
who can change the course in history, but the government only cares
about significant events and people. Ex-CIA agent John Ressee works
with Harold Finich, the Machine's creator to protect and save lives.
Along with New York Detective Fusco, Root a former assassin, and Shaw
a former Samaritan operative, they continue the fight against those
who would support global control and domination and to protect the
free world and free will. Both Samaritan and the U.S. government
consider the Machine and them to be obsolete and out dated, a
liability and threat to their agendas. As the final battle begins
truths come to the surface who/what is the true nature of the
Machine. Both sides will need to use all their assets if they are to
survive.
This
series plays off the paranoia of government conspiracies, theories of
how the government is spying on it's own people to control and
influence it's citizens to control the world. That anything,
including murder, terror and fear is justified in the name of
homeland security, economy, and for the elite class to remain in
control. Through A.I. systems they are able to control and
manipulate mass amounts of data, control money and resources, change
identities, control anything from the economy to the police or even
the army. But a machine can not decide what is morally correct or
just, ironically it is by another A.I. which is able to learn about
the value of life and morals in which we are saved. Jim Caviezel
leads the cast.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image and lossless DTS-HD MA
(Master Audio) 5.1 mix are great and far outdo the show on DVD as we
saw on the previous season set we reviewed elsewhere on this site.
Extras include 2015 Comic Con Panel, Revelations of Person of
Interest and Finale for the Fans.
