In-Lawfully Yours (2016/Cinedigm DVD)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: C Film: B+

Jesse (Chelsey Crisp) just got a divorce from her cheating husband and is helping her ex-mother-in-law to move. Instead, she meets the pastor who is also a widow/her brother-in-law and begins falling in love with him. As the community thinks it is an outrage and scandal things get more complicated when her ex-husband returns to try and win her back. Jesse is caught between two men... but which should she choose?

In Rob Kirbyson's In-Lawfully Yours (2016), Jesse is a city girl and returns to her ex-husband's hometown to help her ex-mother-in-law move to the city, but for some reason, the town is on her cheating ex-husband's side and are less than welcoming to her. When she falls in love with the town's recently widowed pastor (who is also her brother-in-law) they see her as more like the town tramp, but the town really becomes united and interested in the Jesse's soap opera/drama ...and wants to see what they ending is.

This was a light hearted drama about a woman caught between two men in a small town, which seems to be an odd small town which no one seems get truly upset over infidelity and seems more interested in who will win the girl, the ex-husband or pastor? Can a girl have two men at once? Or will God/woman give a second chance to men? Marilu Henner and Lisa Renz also star.

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image and lossy Dolby digital 5.1 mix are as good as they will ever be in this format. Extras include behind the scenes, deleted scenes and trailers.
