Toru
and Akari continue to guard and protect Chaika and collect the
remains of the the Gaz Emperor. As no one seems to know why, it is
soon revealed that there are many 'Chaikas' who are all collecting
the Emperor's remains, the greatest evil wizard in history. Even
though the Empire has fallen, not all of Gaz's magic research was
destroyed. As they uncover the secrets to Chaika, they discover
Empire is not dead and they are pawns in a much larger game in
Chaika: The Coffin Princess - Avenging Battle: Collection 2
(2015).
Toru
and his (self proclaimed) step sister sister are saboteurs, killers
hired to do anything to complete their master's mission, but after
the war find themselves without jobs until they are hired by a
wandering Chaika. Chaika hires them to help her find and collect the
remains of the former emperor (whom has just recently be defeated)
after his 500-year reign. However, various other groups and
organizations want to stop Chaika because of rumors that she will
revive the dead Emperor, but also they want the remains of the
Emperor's body because it is super 'psychofuel' for powerful magic.
The
story is the usual mysterious girl with a quest against the world
with romantic comedy on the side, as was the case with the previous
season (see link below). As the story unfolds, it is all a complex
plot in which the characters discover they being are used as pawns
for the ambitions of greedy men and corrupt governments.
The
1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image on each episode is at
the top of Sentai's best Blu-ray releases to date, while the DTS-HD
MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo lossless mix in English is not bad, but
the Japanese lossless track is superior, both with Pro Logic-like
surrounds putting it on par with the previous Blu-ray season set.
Extras include clean opening and closing animations, and trailers.

Princess Who Gathers the Remains - Chaika battles a former hero
and attempts to shorten her spell chants.
A
Wizard's Pride - Both Red and White Chaikas continue to gather
the Emperor's remains, Chaika learns of the Emperor's secret research
facility.
The
Harbor of Phantom Dreams Recollected - Toru, Akari and Chaika
enter a seaside town to learn of where the Emperor's secret island
might be.
The
Writhing Island - Chaika gets captured (again) and discovers an
island of demihumans and that she is the results of massed produced
clones to gather the remains of the Emperor.
The
Emperor's Inheritance - Both Red and White Chaika decide on a
temporary truce to defeat Viktor, a former scientist for the Emperor
who tries to enslave the demihumans with mind control.
The
Castle of Madness - Toru, Akari and Chaika enter a tournament
where the prize is one of the Emperor's remains, but they are shocked
to discover killing is allowed.
Black
Agenda - As Chaika continues with the tournament and attempts to
steal the Emperor's remains, they discover a trio of Chaika who was
manipulating the tournament to make 'Chaikas' to bring the various
Emperor's remains to them.
The
Bells of Contention - Companions are forced to fight one another.
Chaika is captured (yet again) and Toru is ordered to bring the
Emperor's remains if he wants to see Chaika again.
The
Throne that Invites War - All the remains of the Emperor are
gathered and Black Chaika gives 'birth' to Emperor Gaz. Gaz is
reborn more powerful than ever and he reveals that everything was
according to his plans.
The
Girl Who Carries the Gandr - Emperor Gaz destroys all the
floating fortresses sent to stop him. Toru, Akari, Chaika and
Fredrica refuse to join his side and instead choose to fight him and
end his reign of terror. Chaika sacrifices her memories in order to
defeat Gaz.
OVA
The Targeted Coffin/Ruins Resurrected - Chaika and company end up
in a farce play with the Gillet Squad after them. Everyone ends up
falling in mud pits and the girls are forced to undress.
