If adult films from the 1920s-1940s tickle your fancy, then you will want to check out Sin, an interesting silent art film that blends porn with religious themes and experimental photography that was no doubt very controversial at its time, but mainly tame for today's standards. Released in grand fashion by Cult Epics, Sin is an interesting look at the past from the director Pig and Bettie Page Dark Angel Niko B and is divided into three episodes: Lady of the East, Le Modele, and The Maid.

Focusing on the duality of a female protagonist including the belly/frolic dancer (Angelita Franco of Tinto Brass' short film Kick the Cock), the sculpture model versus the nun (with Caroline Pierce) that does some pretty lurid things with a cross, and the legless aristocrat and the maid (with Dahlia Dark) with a foot fetish; all of which show a dark side to modern living and push the boundaries of surrealistic filmmaking that even David Lynch would smile upon.

Restored in high definition from its original Super 8mm film elements (negative and/or reversal stocks), the film looks and sounds great on Blu-ray disc (and even on the standard definition DVD that is included). The original aspect ratio is preserved in 1.33:1 black and white along with a PCM 2.0 Stereo soundtrack is mainly soft piano music. The DVD has the same aspect ratio and audio only is presented in standard definition.
