The Invoking 3: Poltergeist Dimensions (2016/MVD Visual DVD)

Picture: B Sound: B- Extras: D Film: C

The Invoking 3: Poltergeist Dimensions (2016) is an anthology film much like the recent V/H/S series, only focused more with the supernatural and paranormal. Created with the concept that there are hundreds of isolated cases of these types of incidents happening all over the world, we get different filmmaking styles from traditional to found footage and otherwise filmed from all over. Some shorts are better than others, with many falling subject to overproduced sound effects and score.

A creepy hand under a sink, an ancient tribal creature that lives in a cave, a ghost who shows up only in pictures, satanic forces, conjured spirits, you name it and its thrown into The Invoking 3. Filmmakers in this volume include Alfredo Heuck, Calvin Main, Chris Martens, Lee Matthews, Patrick Rea, Ruben Rodriguez, Pavel Soukup, and Dave Weathers.

Presented in standard definition with an anamorphically enhanced widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1, the film looks fine on DVD with various styles and cameras being used for the film. The sound mix is a standard, lossy Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo track that sounds fine but isn't anything to write home about. No extras.
