Who Gets The Dog? (2016/Fox DVD)

Picture: C Sound: B Extras: D Film: B

After six years, Olive (Alicia Silverstone) and Clay (Ryan Kwanten) decide to give up their marriage, but the only thing neither of them can give up is Wesley ...their dog. Now both of them are battling for custody of Wesley and they will do ANYTHING to get him and they are under court order to show the judge who is the best owner is. May the best man, woman ...or dog win in Huck Botko's Who Gets The Dog? (2016).

Olive and Clay were a couple, Olive is an ER doctor and Clay is minor league hockey player. However the only they love more than their jobs (and marriage) is their dog Wesley. Now, they will have to fight with tooth, nail and claw to prove who is more suitable for Wesley. Olive works in ER and while she has the house she doesn't have the time to spend taking care of Wesley. Clay lives in his RV trailer and is barely able to take care of himself, but Wesley isn't really happy with his choices, he still has a few tricks for an old dog. Can he reunite Olive and Clay and prove they are better together than apart?

This was your typical dog movie, while comical I have to say if they could fight so hard over a dog, why couldn't they fight that hard to save their marriage? Good lord, how can a wife or husband love their dog more than each other?

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 image is much softer than it ought to be for even this format at 480p, but the lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is well recorded for this kind of comedy and there are no extras.
