Teen Wolf: Season 5, Part 2 (2016/MGM DVD Set)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: C Episodes: B+

After in-fighting within the pack, losses, Scott must find a way to reunite his pack. Beacon Hill has become a battle ground for the supernatural, chimeras, hell hounds, banshees, clockwork mad scientists, and more... But all that gets placed on the back burner when an ancient werewolf know as 'The Beast' appears and has no discrimination to who or whatever it kills in Teen Wolf: Season 5, Part 2 (2016).

Scott is the alpha wolf among his pack, but there has been challenges and questions about his leadership of late when his own pack turns against him. Adding to the chaos is the power hungry Theo, leader of a group of newly created chimeras. But behind the Chimeras are the Dread Doctors, a mysterious group of para-science steampunk scientists who specializes and manipulates supernatural creatures and forces in order to extend their lives with immortality. However, when the Dread Doctors resurrect "The Beast" an invincible killing machine and losses control, old enemies must become allies in order to stop this ancient horror.

Teen Wolf continues to be a werewolf utopia, it is all about who is the alpha wolf/leader of the pack and the politics of werewolves involving tooth, claws and fangs. More often the characters remain in half werewolf mode instead of a full body change. The series is about how the characters survive from other supernatural creatures/packs or to keep their secret hidden from the 'normal' people (which begs to question why haven't MORE people noticed werewolves in their town) but may be winding up soon.

The anamorphically enhanced 1.78 X 1 and lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 mixes are as good ads they can get for the format, with some aspects of both demo-like for DVD. Extras includes a poster and Ultimate Dread - The Creatures of Season 5.
