Sydney Pollack's 1977 romantic drama film Bobby Deerfield will pull at your heartstrings as Al Pacino gives one of his greatest on-screen performances vastly different than those in The Godfather films or Scarface. Here he plays a troubled race car driver who has fame and fortune (as a race car driver) but a lonely heart. When he meets the love of his life, Lillian (Keller), who has some medical problems - he soon lets her in and finds that love isn't just a fairytale after all.

The film did not do well when first released, too slow for race car fans (these films never seem to be hit for their stars, even when focusing on the racing; this has little such footage) and the industry was changing back to less mature, adult blockbuster fare, so this film got trapped in all that. Now is the time for people to give it another look and chance, especially Pacino fans.

Bobby Deerfield stars Al Pacino, Marthe Keller, Anny Duprerey, Walter McGinn, Romolo Valli, and Stephen Meldegg.

The film looks stunning in 1080p high definition and a widescreen aspect ratio of 2.35:1 with vibrant colors and flesh tones. The audio mixes are 2.0 DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) Stereo lossless. DTS-MA 1.0 Mono lossless and better DTS-MA 5.1 lossless tracks that sound remarkably good for their age, pitting you in the center of the film's action and a vast improvement over the DVD sound mix.

Special Features include

Isolated Score Track

Audio Commentary with Director Sydney Pollack

Collectible Insert Booklet with Julie Kirgo essay.
