End Of A Gun (2016/Lionsgate Blu-ray)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: D Film: C

Steven Seagal returns again in the new action film End of a Gun (2016) that doesn't really bring a lot new to the table but reaffirms Seagal's place in Z-grade action faire. The film has some interesting action scenes thanks to the aging charm of Seagal that make the film more fun to watch than you may expect. It reminds me of some other recent films by him such as A Good Man and Contract to Kill, but maybe slightly better.

An ex-DEA agent's life takes an unexpected turn when he comes to the rescue of a seductive woman and a shopping mall security guard, and soon finds himself entangled in with a maniacal drug lord that also has a thing for her... and the other $2 Million worth of drug money she acquired. Will Seagal come to her aide and rescue her defeating the bad guys?

Presented in 1080p high definition and a widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1, the film looks and sounds fine on Blu-ray disc accompanied by a lossless 5.1 English DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) track that is adequate to the format. Overall, a pretty standard Blu-ray presentation.

A digital UV copy is also included.

End of a Gun also stars Florin Piersic Jr., Jade Ewen, and Jacob Grodnik.

While nothing special or completely awful, End of a Gun is standard Seagal fare and nothing more.
