If
you're a fan of classical composer Anton Bruckner, then you won't
want to miss this beautiful performance of Symphony No. 4
''Romantic'' in as far as the Bruckner cycle is concerned, one of his
more noted works. The great Christian Thielemann joins the
Staatskapelle Dresden for this 75-minutes-long program issued by
Unitel.
Spanning
75 minutes in length, this gorgeous and nicely photographed concert
event is the next best thing to being in the audience. This video
was directed by Agnes Meth and recorded live in 2015 at the
Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, smoothly performed non-stop to fine
effect.
Presented
in standard definition with a 1.77:1 widescreen aspect ratio and for
sound, regular DTS 5.0 and PCM 2.0 Stereo tracks, the concert looks
and sounds fine for DVD, but could always be improved by high
definition and could improve upon the sound mix as well with more
file space. This has been issued in Blu-ray too, so we expect that
would be even more impressive if past Thielemann releases have taught
us anything.
Special
features include Trailers for other Unitel releases and a booklet,
but we have more Bruckner on the site, including a Blu-ray of
Symphony No. 4:

As
for this new release, it is a must for classical fans!
