Sleepy Hollow: The Complete Third Season (2015 - 2016/Fox DVD Set)

Picture: B Sound: B Extras: B Episodes: B

Fox's supernatural adventure series Sleepy Hollow returns for a third season, that brings out new monsters and former foes to create an action packed experience that horror fans won't want to miss. Similar to The X-Files in terms of a new monster threat weekly (yet many monsters on this show happen in the past), I find the series to be a pretty fun and easy watch.

The series stars Tom Mison, Nicole Beharie, Lyndie Greenwood, Orlando Jones, and John Noble to name a few. The show centers around Ichabod Crane (Mison) who wakes up 250 years into the present day, thanks to a spell that was placed upon him in the past. In this time is where we finds an unlikely alley in Detective Abbie Mills (Beharie) and the two end up facing up against various levels of supernatural evil that threaten mankind and some even date back to his time.

Eleven episodes comprise this season with I, Witness, Whispers in the Dark, The Sisters Mills, Dead Men Tell No Tales, This Red Lady from Caribee, The Art of War, Novus Ordo Seclorum, One Life, Incident at Stone Manor and the Season 3 finale, Kindred Spirits.

Currently only available on DVD, the show is presented in standard definition with an anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen aspect ratio and a lossy Dolby Digital 5.1 track, which looks and sounds fine for the format, but nothing too special in terms of presentation. While previous versions of the show exist on Blu-ray, I'm sure this season will be released in the superior format soon.

Special Features are simply a Gag Reel and Deleted Scenes.

Returning for a new season this year (2017), Sleepy Hollow is a fun show for Sci-Fi and Horror fans with interesting characters and entertaining storylines week to week.
