Busou Shinki: Complete Collection (2012/Sentai Blu-ray Set)

Picture: A Sound: B+ Extras: C Episodes: B+

In the future, people live with 'Shinki' 6-inch tall android mechas and are the latest trend in AI toys that are totally devoted to their 'master'. Ann, Aines, Lene, and Hina all live together with their master Rihito, and they will do anything to please their master or get his attention in Busou Shinki: Complete Collection (2012).

Shinkis are 6-inch tall androids/gynoids created for mock miniaturized battle and competition, but Ann, Aines, Lene and Hina's master would just rather live peacefully with them as he goes to high school. Without battles, the girls strive to live with Rihito in the real world, but as they strive to please him, to them they are living in a world of giants and they use their battle skills to accomplish various tasks from cooking, catching thieves, to falling in love and following their dreams.

This is a was drama filled anime series filled with 'moe', that everything is so much cuter when you are 6-inch characters trying to live in a modern world. I would hesitate to call this a harem anime because they are just 'toys' and 6" robots, but you still can't help but love their cuteness, adventures and cheer them all in all they try to accomplish despite their sizes.

The outstanding 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image on all the episodes stuns across both discs joining Sentai's very best in the format, while the lossless DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Japanese Stereo is very dynamic throughout (with Pro Logic-like surrounds you can try out) also being warm and full on its 2-channel own. Extras include clean opening and closing animations, Japanese promos and trailers.
