out here come The Powerpuff Girls. Join Bubbles, Blossom and
Buttercup as they stop evil and look cute doing it. The super
powered, super fast, super sisters are always ready to save the day
from the forces of evil that threaten their town and friends; this
time in Volume One of Tiara Trouble.
The
Powerpuff Girls were created by the Professor to create the 'perfect
little girls'. To have superpowers and be sugar, spice and
everything nice. Blossom is the leader of the group and is the
unspoken conscience of the group and constantly reminds the girls
their sisterhood and how to work together. Bubbles is the 'nice'
girl who believes in being cute and everything can be solve with
hugs, love and kisses. Buttercup is the tomboy and muscle of the
group who often has anger issues with doing anything remotely
feminine.
The
show is like watching chibi/cute cartoon characters on a sugar high
and with superpowers, makes fun being cute, plus the ability for
wanton destruction (never underestimate a girl's ability to
destroy/wreck things). But in the end the series teaches the morals
of justice, friendship and love (arguably) with cute fun loving
superpower girls.
The
anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 looks as good as it can
for the format, but the lossy English 5.1 Dolby Digital track is on
the weak side. Extras include Powerpuff Girls stickers.
