Amagi Brilliant Park: Complete Collection (2014/Sentai Blu-ray Set)

Picture: B+ Sound: B+ Extras: C Episodes: B+

Seiya Kanie is literally held at gunpoint by his classmate Isuzu to go to Amagi Brilliant Park (2014), but there he discovers the park needs HIS help. He learns the park is a haven for creatures from another world, it is secretly filled with REAL magic mascots, magical girls, creatures, even a Princess, but their park will be forced to close unless they somehow get 250,000 visitors in the next 3 months. Kanie is recruited to be their new park manager and to come up with new ideas, shows and advertisements to help revitalize the park.

Kanie one day finds himself in charge of a rundown amusement park, then he finds out it is all the employees are magical creatures from another world and their entire existence depends on the energy from the park attendees, and if they don't get enough people the park will be forced to close and then they will disappear. At first, Kanie is reluctant, but then he has a change of heart, and it's gonna take more than a little magic to save the park. As Kanie works with staff and employees of Amagi Brilliant Park he begins to care for them as he help the park return to it's former glory, all the meanwhile keeping the world from finding out the park's secrets.

This was a comical anime filled with cute mascots characters and scantily clad magical girls, it makes fun of mascots and a certain character from Full Metal Panic! It is also filled with light comedy and whenever it gets to crazy (or the guys do something perverted) the girls can pull out magical guns out of nowhere.

The 1080p 1.78 X 1 digital High Definition image transfers look really good throughout with few minor limits if that, while the Japanese DTS-HD MA (Master Audio) 2.0 Stereo lossless mixes are a bit better than their English dub counterparts, match the high image quality and both have Pro Logic-like surrounds. Extras include an 'Extra Magic' Opening, clean opening and closing animations and trailers, though a fancier Premium Edition box adding DVD versions and goodies like tokens to the park, double-sided brochures, sticker sheets, dice game poster, mirror button, pin set, hard cover art booklet and hand-stamped certificate of authenticity.
