This
is a homage to Bunny Yeager, a pioneer for female photographer in
glamour photography of the '50s and '60s pin-up girls of America.
Take a look at what was considered 100 of the most beautiful girls of
the time, including Bettie Page and more, a timeless classic with 100
Girls By Bunny Yeager (1950, 1997, 2016).
Bunny
Yeager was one of the few female photographer of the '50s, not only
did she pick beautiful models, but paved the way in stunning poses
and scenery. She did not consider her work 'porn' or 'nudie pics'
but works of art. She was not only popular with her fans, but all
the female models as well, they preferred working with her because of
her professionalism (and that she was female) unlike all male
photographers. Her pictures helped turn many ordinary models into
actresses/super models for movies and magazines.
This
is a collection of pictures and interviews of Bunny Yeager and the
Pin-Up girls of the '50s and '60s. Even today you can see how
glamour photography was and still is influenced by her works and is
more than worth having in one place, even historically if you are
only so impressed by the context. The films gere were transferred
from the original 16mm films into HD for this Blu-ray, but the 1080p
1.33 X 1 black & white image is varied from grainier older
sources that have had some work done on them to fix them up, yet
despite new 2K scans can have detail, grain, depth ans Video Black
issues. Maybe they need to do 4K scans to really get this right.
The sound for some reason here is lossy Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo
instead of a lossless source, so it is passable at best, but also
disappoints.
Extras
are where this release really shines and includes over 200 pin-up
photos, clips from Bunny Yeager's nude camera and nude Las Vegas,
unseen footage, Bettie Page Uncovered and Bunny Yeager/Bettie
Page HD Virtual photo exhibit.
